The Morrow Market (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates www.themorrowmarket.com (the “Service”), a local marketplace connecting customers in Morrow County, Ohio and the surrounding area with farmers, makers, and small producers. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, phone number, and password (stored hashed).
- Order information: products purchased, delivery or pickup address, order history.
- Payment information: processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Vendor information: for sellers, business name, EIN, payout banking details (handled by Stripe Connect), and product listings.
- Device & usage: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and basic analytics to improve the Service.
How we use your information
- To process orders, payments, and deliveries.
- To send transactional notifications about your account, orders, and pickups by email and SMS.
- To support vendors with order alerts, payouts, and platform tools.
- To prevent fraud, enforce our Terms, and comply with legal obligations.
- To send occasional product updates (only if you opt in).
SMS messaging
The Morrow Market offers SMS notifications about your orders, deliveries, and weekly market updates. You may opt in by checking the “Text me order & delivery updates” box at checkout, in your account settings, or by replying START to a previous message from us. We will not send you SMS messages unless you have opted in.
Program description: recurring transactional and informational text messages including order confirmations, packing updates, out-for-delivery notices, delivery confirmations, and the weekly market open/close notice. Message frequency varies based on your order activity (typically 1–6 messages per delivery week). Message and data rates may apply.
Opt out at any time by replying STOP (or CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE, REVOKE, STOPALL, OPTOUT) to any message from us. You will receive a one-time confirmation that you have been unsubscribed and will not receive further messages. Reply HELP (or INFO) for help, or email hello@themorrowmarket.com.
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All categories of personal information exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. We use Telnyx as our SMS service provider solely to deliver messages on our behalf.
How we share information
We share information only as needed to operate the Service:
- Vendors: when you place an order, the relevant vendor receives your name, order details, and delivery information.
- Service providers: Stripe (payments), Telnyx (SMS), Resend (email), Supabase (data hosting), Mapbox (maps), and Vercel (web hosting).
- Legal: if required by law, court order, or to protect rights and safety.
We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your cart, and measure basic usage. You can disable cookies in your browser, though parts of the Service may not work as expected.
Your choices
- Update or delete your account at any time from your account settings.
- Opt out of SMS by replying STOP. Opt out of marketing email via the unsubscribe link.
- Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you by emailing us.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
